## Languages included

Tally's storefront text – buttons, labels, cart and account messages – is translated into **English, Czech, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Polish**. The theme editor is available in English, Czech, German, French and Spanish.

Right-to-left languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu and others) switch the page direction automatically.

## Add a language

1. Go to **Settings › Languages**, add the language and publish it.
2. Install Shopify's free **Translate & Adapt** app to translate your own content: products, collections, pages, menus and the text you entered in the theme editor.
3. The language selector appears in the footer, in the mobile menu and – if you turn it on – in the header.

For a language Tally does not include, the theme's own text can be translated in Translate & Adapt as well, or in **Online Store › Themes › ⋯ › Edit default theme content**.

## Change the theme's own text

To change a fixed text such as *Add to cart* or *Sold out* in any language, go to **Online Store › Themes › ⋯ › Edit default theme content**, pick the language and search for the text. Changes there are kept when you update the theme.

## Countries and currencies

Add countries and their currencies in **Settings › Markets**. When the store sells to more than one country, the footer and the mobile menu show a country selector; turn on **Show country and currency** in the Header section to show it in the header too. **Show currency codes** in **Theme settings › Currency and extras** adds the code after prices (*€25.00 EUR*), which helps when several currencies use the same symbol.

## The selectors

The [Header settings](https://themelab.page/tally/docs/header-and-footer.md#selectors) control how the language shows in the header (name, code or hidden, with or without a flag). In the footer, **Show country and language** and its two options control the bottom bar.
