# Launch checklist

> Everything in the presets that is demo content, so you can replace it before your store opens.

The presets come with sample text and images so you can see how each section looks. Go through this list before you publish the theme or remove the store password.

## Store details

- [ ] **Logo, favicon and image for sharing** in **Theme settings › Logo and favicon**.
- [ ] **Social links** in **Theme settings › Social media**. Empty fields are hidden.
- [ ] **Policies** in **Settings › Policies**: refund, privacy, terms of service, shipping and contact information. The footer links to them.
- [ ] **Contact details and opening hours** in the footer, the Contact form section and Store locations.
- [ ] **Store email** in **Settings › General** – contact form messages go there.

## Header and footer

- [ ] **Announcement bar** messages and the countdown date, if you use one.
- [ ] **Main menu**, including the *Edits* dropdown block in the Tally preset. Point *Attach to menu link* at your own menu titles, or remove it.
- [ ] The **Blog** link block in the header if your blog has another name (or none).
- [ ] **Footer** texts, menus and the newsletter text.

## Home page

- [ ] **Hero** headline, text, buttons, quick links and image.
- [ ] **Department** names and collections in the Collection list.
- [ ] **Featured collections:** the collections, tab names and the **Price filter limit** of the quick filters.
- [ ] **Promo grid** tiles.
- [ ] **Edits:** collections, names and descriptions.
- [ ] **Shop the look:** the image and the products on it.
- [ ] **A closer look** (Image with hotspots): the image and every hotspot card.
- [ ] **How delivery and returns work** (Timeline) and other step-by-step texts.
- [ ] **Reviews** (Testimonials): replace the sample quotes with real ones, or remove the section.
- [ ] **Blog posts:** turn off **Fill missing posts with placeholders** once you publish your own posts.
- [ ] **FAQ** questions and answers, on the home page and on the Contact page.

## Product and collection pages

- [ ] **Icons with text** on the product page (delivery, returns, warranty) to match your real terms.
- [ ] **Delivery estimate:** your real fastest and slowest delivery days and the dispatch cut-off time.
- [ ] **Side panels** (size guide, delivery): pick your own pages.
- [ ] **Collapsible tabs** with shipping and returns text.
- [ ] **Promo tile** in the collection grid, if it is turned on.

## Cart

- [ ] **Free shipping threshold**, matching the free shipping rate in **Settings › Shipping and delivery**.
- [ ] **Second goal** and its reward, matching a real discount – or leave it empty.
- [ ] **Add-ons collection** and **Gift wrapping product**.
- [ ] **Terms checkbox text** and its link, if you use it.

## Pages and popups

- [ ] **About page** (page.about template): photos, story, values and the timeline.
- [ ] **Popups:** only show the Newsletter popup, Popup and Age verification sections if you want them, with your own text.
- [ ] **Password page** text, if the store is still password protected.

## Final checks

- [ ] Place a **test order** with Shopify's Bogus Gateway or your payment provider's test mode.
- [ ] Open the store on a **phone** and check the menu, search, a product page and the cart.
- [ ] Try the store with the **keyboard only** (Tab, Enter, Esc) to make sure menus and dialogs work for everyone.
- [ ] Check every **language** you published, if you have more than one.
